Incorporated in Illinois on March 22, 1913, Albin Carlson & Co. has a nearly one hundred year history of providing award winning, high quality and on-time projects. Our success is attributed to our high quality of work, excellent on-time record and our ability to offer clients various delivery methods. Our expanding client list includes key government agencies, railroads, as well as private and public clients in a vast range of industries. We focus on providing general contracting of highway and railroad bridges, bridge repair, foundations, and retaining wall projects. We specialize in self-performing concrete, excavation, piling, carpentry and demolition work and have vast experience providing both preconstruction and construction services. Albin Carlson & Co. has been recognized by Engineering News Record as one of the nation’s Top 600 Specialty Contractors in 2009. The safety of our employees, other field personnel, and the general public is a priority at Albin Carlson & Co. We have recently released and utilize a completely new and improved Health and Safety Manual. We prepare project and job site specific safety plans. We require safety training for our employees, we track their safety training certificates and we conduct weekly safety meetings for all field personnel. Our safety professionals are constantly monitoring our onsite safety practices via site audits, and we have invited OSHA to visit our sites to review our practices and provide feedback. Our most recent injury incident rate was 1.1 which is well below the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics national average for our NCIAS of 4.7.
